Some personal projects I've worked on, all inspired by real life across New York, Bombay and Mexico City, my 3 favourite cities:
TXTBOOK WEB APP
Inspired by teaching my family stock market basics through bite-sized WhatsApp messages, I created a micro-learning platform to automate and deliver these mini-courses via WhatsApp. Coursework delivered on the app was my own. [No longer live]
GROOVY CASA WEB APP
Inspired by the rental challenges (locals priced out; foreigners overcharged) in CDMX during the pandemic, I built a platform that calculates real-time average rents using anonymous rental data. It quickly gained traction with over 1,000 expat users. [No longer live]
WHATSAPP HOSPITAL
I built a "Whatsapp Hospital" for non-digital users (i.e. individuals who might not have access to healthcare marketplaces). Using Python, the bot connects users with nearby doctors based on their zip code. The bot was actively used in Mexico City and an MVP was build for London. [No longer live]
HAPPYCAKES NFT
I created a generative art collection of 33 cupcakes inspired by all the cupcakes I ate during the pandemic to help keep my local coffee shop alive (win-win!); multiple layers of the picture were created in Adobe and generation code was created by watching YouTube Tutorials and stitching together free code available on the internet! This was just an experiment to understand NFTs. [Please do not purchase from this collection]
HABLAMOS [SPEAK LOCAL]
This was platform built with a friend where we translated popular french articles into english - an attempt at using the Automatic Growth Language approach to learning a language. [No longer live]
